Your role
The Tax Manager Europe oversees all tax matters of his/her zone composed of 31 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, The Netherlands, UK, Ukraine.
Main Accountabilities
The Tax Manager Europe is in charge of all tax aspects of this zone such as tax audit/tax litigation support. This includes reporting to the head office with an update of the Tax Audit & Litigation Mapping (TALM) in June and December. The Tax Manager will also provide detailed tax advice and optimize the tax position on restructuring projects, such as:
- Internal reorganizations (including mergers, liquidations, share transfers, etc.)
- Acquisitions and disposals: review of tax due diligence report, liaise with HO on structuring aspects, tax advice on integration operations (planning to utilize tax losses)
- Refinancing
Other main accountabilities are contract reviews, transfer pricing matter, ETR analyses and the managing compliance with EU regulatory framework:
- CbCR (Country by Country Reporting) notifications
- DAC6
The Tax Manager Europe will interact both with the Europe Network (finance/legal/operational etc.) and with the Tax Department.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Professional skills in EU taxation with 6-10 years experience in law firms and/or international groups (preference for services)
- Autonomous, organized & rigorous
- Ability to work on multiple subjects in a limited time
- Pro-active and solution-oriented
- Keen sense of communication
- Fluent/Bilingual in English
