Job purpose
The Quality Assurance Director Tax is engaged in the overall quality of the provision of services with a specific focus on tax matters. You will be responsible to develop and maintain a tax quality framework. In addition, you will be providing guidance and sharing knowledge with the Business Excellence Centre and client teams resulting in a proper completion of the tax integrity analysis in our client risk assessment. In addition, you will act as Supervisor Regulatory Services team (RST) and as such be responsible for the service delivery by the RST, the management of the RST (6 FTE) and the engagement and development of individual team members. The RST provides services to the clients of the client servicing teams of TMF in the Netherlands and is specialized in various regulatory areas with an international focus, such as:
- FATCA (U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act)
- CRS (Common Reporting Standard - DAC 2)
- UBO Register (Ultimate Beneficial Owner Provisions - DAC 5)
- MDR on cross-border arrangement (Mandatory Disclosure Rules - DAC 6)
Your profile
- Master’s degree in law or international taxation or solid relevant professional experience;
- > 10 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a corporate service provider;
- Knowledge on EU regulatory framework and international corporate (tax) structures;
- Good stakeholder management skills;
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with MS office and database knowledge;
- Required Competences: Operation Excellence, Commercial Awareness, leadership and Resource Management, Interpersonal Skills.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a tax quality framework for TMF Netherlands;
- Deliver an active contribution to improve the professional tax knowledge of our staff. This includes active involvement with development, improvement and maintenance of procedures, templates, soft and hard copy libraries and other know how resources;
- Ensure our template toolbox is kept up to date;
- Provide guidance to the Business Excellence Centre and client teams and review the Tax Integrity Section of our Client Risk Assessment form for client acceptance and Mandate Review;
- Manage, coach, train and motivate RST team members
- Responsible for workload planning, quality of output and team management;
- Ensure that team members act in accordance with the relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Consolidate and analyse statistical and routine reports, including the analyses of monthly productivity reports;
- Providing guidance and training to client servicing teams with respect to regulatory developments;
- Act as local point of contact for international regulatory projects involving multiple TMF offices.
