As the Engineering Manager of a talented set of teams, (specific: CUDAP and CUDAP Platform), your impact will be reflected in their achievements. Your success will be defined by the team’s ability to deliver business value, leading to outstanding customer satisfaction, and high scores on the Accelerate metrics following the product roadmap. Lead your team to success and take your engineering career to the next level, forming a functional partnership with the application PO’s to move NN forward while attending to quality and non-functional requirements of the environment.

What you are going to do

In this exciting role at Nationale-Nederlanden, you will have the opportunity to drive the company's digital transformation and contribute to enhancing the customer experience. You'll be leading a small set of teams of approximately 14 to 20 internal experts total and few externals in a specific business line of C&D, ensuring that the solutions you oversee are secure, innovative, and deliver a fast and reliable experience for customers. You set the stage for one or more teams so they are up to the task, or will be soon because of your guidance on skills requirements, education plans in line with product development and choices made regarding technology and NN standards.

Not only will you be working with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge solutions, but you will also stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies we carry in C&D, allowing you to make informed recommendations to further enhance NN's capabilities.

Salary between €6,219 and €8,885 (Based on 40 hours per week) depending on your knowledge and experience. It is also possible to work 36 to 38 hours per week

Who you are

You're a pro when it comes to Agile environments! You thrive in a collaborative and continuously improving setting. On top of that, you bring to the table:

3+ years of mentoring and managing expertise driving operational excellence of tech teams
6+ years of past experience as a software engineer or developer or equal experience
A talent for coaching and developing soft skills of individuals
An insatiable desire to help others grow and expand their knowledge
Experience with Data management projects and data operational tasks, NN’s Data Analytics Platforms, Analytics and AI products is a plus to enable placement with matching teams.

As an EM, you'll be part of a predominantly international team, with developers, Agile experts and a Product Owner; reporting to a Head of the department Data & AI and functionally to the C&D Head of Engineering.
